Here is a list of the best beaches on the shores of Lake Garda, divided according to the three provinces that are touched by its waters: Verona, to the east, Brescia, to the west, and Trento, to the north.

Lake Garda's beaches in the province of Verona

Peschiera del Garda

Lido ai pioppi in Peschiera del Garda is a very nice free beach, and – as often happens on the Lake – is a pebble beach. This Lido is very close to the city center, and it’s easily reachable by bike, thanks to the bike trail Peschiera-Bardolino

Lido ai Pioppi is equipped with a bar, a restaurant and a pedal boat rental. In addition, this beach is also suitable for children.

Spiaggia Cappuccini is a pebble and grass free beach with a bar, a restaurant and a pedal boat rental. This Lido is specially suitable for children, thanks to the presence of a playground.

Bracco Baldo Beach is one of the first pet-friendly beaches in Italy. The access is free, but you can rent a sun umbrella and receive a pet kit for your four-legged friend. Nearby there are also a bar, a restaurant and a pedal boat rental.

Lazise

Spiaggia La Marra is a beautiful sand beach in Lazise, with a large parking lot nearby (also named “Marra”). The beach is easily accessible from via Prà del Principe through a gate that is closed from 0.30 am to 7.30 am. 

Nearby you can find bar, restaurants, a camping area, a pedal boat rental and a kayak rental.

Spiaggia delle Rose is another nice beach in the town center of Lazise. The access to this pebble Lido is free, and in summer there’s a kiosk with toilets near the marina and the stone pier. 

Walking north, it is possible to reach Cisano, Bardolino and Garda: a very romantic walk to take at sunset!

Bardolino

Lido Mirabello Beach is located on one of the two strips of land that from the coast of Bardolino sink into the lake. Mirabello is a private equipped beach, with a large parking lot; the beach is mainly of gravel and rocks and the water is immediately deep, so it is not particularly suitable for children.

If you are travelling with children, you can opt for the beach of Punta Cornicello, where there are also bars and restaurants: nearby you will find free parking, but also a playground for children.

Malcesine

Paina beach is a free beach with lifeguards and playgrounds, bars and a restaurant. You can rent sunbeds and umbrellas, and nearby you will find a large parking lot.

Baia di Val di Sogno is a very nice free beach in Malcesine, and in dry periods you can walk to the nearby Isola del Sogno. This Lido is very close to a parking area, bars and restaurants.

Garda

Spiaggia Baia delle Sirene is a very picturesque beach, immersed in a beautiful landscape. To reach this equipped Lido you have to walk through a Park and once there you will find a bar, a restaurant, a playground for children, a pedal boat rental and a caones rental. Plus: this beach is pet-friendly!

Spiaggia La Cavalla is a very small beach, near the town center of Garda. The access is free, but there’s no sun umbrellas rental. Thanks to the shallow water, is also suitable for children.

Spiaggia Punta San Vigilio is located on the tip of the homonymous peninsula, and is a naturist beach. The access is free, and near the beach you will find a restaurant and a bar.

Castelnuovo del Garda

Lido Ronchi is a free beach made of pebbles and grass, and is usually quiet and not too crowded. Nearby you will find a parking lot and a bar. Lido Ronchi is also suitable for children!

Lido Campanello is another quiet beach in Castelnuovo del Garda. The access is free, but if you want to take a dip into the swimming pool you have to pay a ticket. This beach offers also a restaurant and a bar, and you will find a parking lot nearby.

Lake Garda's beaches in the province of Brescia

Limone sul Garda

Grostol beach is a pebble beach with free access, is located in the town center of Limone and is easily accessible. It is ideal for families and children, because – thanks to the surrounding vegetation – it offers large areas of shade. It is also very close to bars and restaurants.

Fonte Torrente San Giovanni beach is very close to the Cola beach, and like this one is in pebbles. It is perfect for sports lovers, given the presence of a beach volleyball court and a surf school in the immediate vicinity. It is also within easy reach of bars, restaurants and a picnic area.

Cola Beach is a pebble beach, but lovers of comfort can rent sunbeds and umbrellas. Those who want to make a short excursion instead will find a short distance rental of pedal boats and boats. In addition, there is also a car park, bars and restaurants nearby.

Sirmione

Lido delle Bionde. In the town center of Sirmione there is Lido delle Bionde, a delightful and romantic cove very close to the Grottoes of Catullus and surrounded by olive trees, and can be reached with the panoramic route that crosses the peninsula. Remember that the town center is closed to traffic, so you have to park your car outside the walls.

Jamaica Beach. The real gem of the city is for sure Jamaica Beach, on the extreme tip of Sirmione: it is a real hidden treasure, which can only be reached on foot and only when the level of the lake is low enough to allow the passage from Lido delle Bionde. The name is more than deserved: the landscape is really Caribbean! Once again, remember that you have to park your car outside the walls.

Punta Grò is another beautiful pebble beach in Sirmione, about 5 km (3 miles) from the town center. Is easily reachable by car and there’s a large parking lot nearby. The access is free and you can rent sunbeds and umbrellas, but also pedal boats and water-skiing equipment!

Desenzano

Desenzanino Beach is open from May to September, and offers a bar, a gelateria (ice-cream parlour), a restaurant and sunbeds and umbrellas rentals. You can easily park your car on the streets nearby, but remember you need a ticket.

Spiaggia dei Canneti is a historic gay and nudist beach in Desenzano, and can be reached on foot after leaving the car in the pine forest that precedes it.

Spiaggia d’oro – Golden Beach is a meeting point for local youth, since it has a bar, a restaurant, a disco, sunbeds rental and pedal boats rental. Stay until the evening to dance to the rhythm of the dj sets of Golden Beach! Spiaggia d’oro is also accessible to small dogs

Lake Garda's beaches in the province of Trento

Riva del Garda

Spiaggia dei Sabbioni. The most famous beach in Riva del Garda is Spiaggia dei Sabbioni, a free pebble and grass beach, with a playground for children, bars, restaurants and showers. Be careful, because at this point of the lake the water immediately becomes deep!

The small Lido of Miralago beach, a little more sheltered, is perfect for those seeking total relaxation and try to avoid the most crowded places.

Spiaggia dei Pini is a pebble beach surrounded by greenery, with a kiosk for music and aperitifs; it is also the ideal area for windsurfing! During the summer season are organized numerous events, such as beach volleyball tournaments or soap football.
